Just think of the miles and miles of tracks laid in this country, each spike originally driven by hand. Back breaking labor, blistered hands and low pay. The tracks connect at Promontory Point here in Northern Utah. What a celebration and major mile stone for transportation in the United States. What would they say about things now?
