Out Late

 Reflection from the evaporating ponds.

 Looking towards Grantsville.

How do you light this thing?

 Spinning fire!

Morton salt plant, outside of Grantsville, Utah.

These pictures were shot with a Pentax MX1. An awesome point and shoot camera, with some incredible manual controls. I am very impressed. I am usually annoyed with point and shoot camera and there manual settings, they just can not do what an dslr can do. The Pentax MX1 is easy to adjust with a large aperture and good shutter speeds. It also has a HDR mode with three level of adjustments. If your looking for a new camera, give it a try.

Once again some wonderful photos. If I could pick your brain? Can you give me some advice or point me in the right direction to do some long exposure shots. I want to take some of the movement of the stars.

Do you shoot in manual setting? Keep your iso at 100 if you can and a large apature can be helpful. From there its about time. Sometimes you will have to try two or three times before you get the right setting. Good luck.
