Night time photography in December is magical! I am not a big fan of the cold, but I did get out to capture scenes from downtown Salt Lake City. There is lots to see and enjoy. The lights are spectacular and people watching fantastic! The little children are the most expressive, with their big eyes, rosy cheeks, runny noses and oohs and ah's! If you get the chance go down town.
Marry Christmas and warm wishes to you and your family.

Man David! I love the last two. Not that the first is not good, but the last two blew me away.
David,
Thanks for sharing these, they are great. At first glance, I though the first shot was a magic kingdom!
Merry Christmas!
Nice job on these David. I was down to Temple Square on Monday night - big mistake because of the huge crowd, but I knew it would be - Family Home Evening an all, and at the time I thought it was my only chance. I guess I'm going again tomorrow with Utah Photowalkers, first time to associate with them. Really nice job on all three of these. Love the bokeh behind that lamp.
David these are all stunning photos, that last one is beyond stunning, in other words it's my favorite of the three. They're all awesome but there's something about that last one which captured my Christmas spirit. :-)
A very wonderful and merriest Christmas of all to you and your loved ones!
Three excellent shots David, but the last two are superb. Very festive.
Wow! Excellent!
I would love to see more.

Very unique.....
Excellent!
I wish I was there shooting with you...lol
Love that second shot, and the bokeh on #3 is fantastic!
I thought I had left you a comment on your photos some time ago. All are gems. It was good hearing from you tonight.
These last two photos are amazing... what a warm and peaceful atmosphere!!! Great!
P.S.
May I ask which lens did you use while taking there photos?
Joanna,
I used a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens to shoot both pictures. It is one of my favorite lens.
