Found this windmill on my way to Zion National Park off Highway 89. Not sure what small town it was near. When you see something you like, you pull over to get the photo. I think I had to walk back a few yards to get it. I have had to turn the car around a few time as well for a great shot. It is always worth the effort! I have another windmill I photographed on the way home. I will find it and post it later.

Sunrise
A look back on the trail to see the group of early morning risers, greeting a new day at Sunrise Point, Bryce Canon, Utah.
Good morning...
The person in this picture is one of the few willing to get up early to view a stunning sunrise at Sunrise Point, Bryce Canyon, Utah. Her name is Summer! I gave her a bit of a hard time when I saw her put away her Nikon Coolpix camera only to take out her cell phone to take pictures of the changing landscape. It was funny! She was a good sport and a helpful model. Thanks Summer. I hope the rest of your trip was enjoyable.

Bryce Canyon, Southern Utah
We (my family and I) are in the parking lot of Sunset Point in Bryce Canon, Utah. Most everyone has gone for the night to their tents, rvs or hotels for the night. Not me, I have a camera that needs a work out! I wanted to see if it will capture stars and other interesting night shots. You can see Orion's Belt and a few wispy clouds. I was very happy to get this and a few other pictures. The Olympus Stylus 1 is an awesome point and shot camera.
Leaving Bryce Canyon on Highway 12, I pulled over to get a shot of a vehicle going through the tunnel. This is one of two tunnels you would pass under on your way to Bryce Canyon.
Red Canyon on Highway 12 going into Bryce Canyon to see the sunrise at Sunrise Point, Bryce Canyon, Utah. A must see place any time of the day!
The Big Dipper, I believe this was on Highway 12 in the area of Red Canyon. Converted to black and white with a few other enhancements.

Wild Life At The Park
Mr. Wood duck. The best looking duck in the pond!
Mr. Mallard duck. Good looking but jealous!
I thought these geese were lined up kind of funny! It went around the fence line for quite a stretch.
Little one, big chirp!
Found these friends at a local park. Shot with a Olympus Stylus 1 point and shoot camera. Awesome little camera. Easy for a beginner and powerful enough for a manual shooter to enjoy.

Layton High vs. Fremont High
I attended a local high school basketball on my day off. My regular camera, a Nikon D200 has been giving me some trouble, so I thought I give my point and shoot, an Olympus Stylus 1, a try at some action photography. What do you think? I was very impressed with its capability! Sad to think my Nikon D200 is about to die on me. We have done so much together. I will miss it very much, but it does mean something new is around the corner. Save, save, save is what I am doing! New camera body may also require a new lens, which means I must save even more! Awesome little camera, more shots with will be posted later.

Young Woman - Andelynn
Here are a few more pictures from the December photo shoot I did. This is Andelynn. She and Kim have long blond hair that has trouble staying in place. Good thing it can be fixed in editing software! Next time we will get out the spray bottle or the mega hold hair spray!

Young Woman - Annika
Annika was a part of the photo shoot I did in December with Kim and a few other girls. Notice the mood ring in the pictures. She has a smile on her face in both so what do the colors green or blue mean? I hope she had fun. I have gotten permission from Annika's parents to post her picture. More to come later.

Night Shots On The Way Home

Many of us commute to and from work each day and some times that drive gets boring! Well take a camera with you and stop (safely) along your route to get a picture or two from your commute. I have been driving past these areas for some time now, I finally took a camera along with me! With some extra time and good tri-pod I was able to find a new way to view my long commute. This was taken with a point and shoot, Olympus Stylus 1. It does a great job for a small portable camera. I love it. The distraction of finding a picture help me make my commute more fun. Next time there is a back-up for hours on the freeway I hope I have a camera with me! Enjoy your commute!

Sparks Flyin'
I am realizing I don't post as often as I used to. I have found a new years resolution to work on! Time to look in the archives again. What else will I find?
